My dear friends,
today is the third Sunday of advent and slowly I slip into this typical Christmas-feeling, which helps to get over all those bad-weather-november-depressions (and everybody who lives in my sweet and lovely hometown Hamburg knows what I’m talking about).
Now gaudy Christmas lights gleam over the wintertime markets, mulled wine with a shot of rum or shots of rum with mulled wine get you into the right snugly swing and “Last Christmas“ on heavy rotation sounds all over the shopping malls: It may be a bit cheesy, but I really love it.
And today, as the icing on the cake, I awoke to some stray snowflakes, which have become a quite rare incident especially in Hamburg.
Anyway, wrapped in this cozy feeling I’m looking very much forward to Christmas Eve, singing and playing Christmas songs, eating delicious food and enjoying inspiring drinks, sometimes ending up with a couple of whiskeys at our neighbor’s fireplace. Gorgeous!
Have a nice Christmas time!
Carsten
